Representative Experience
Elan S. Levey has represented debtors-in-possession, trustees
and creditors in a wide range of complex reorganization,
restructuring and litigation matters.
Professional Affiliations
Ms. Levey has been the recipient of Los Angeles Magazine’s
“Southern California Rising Star” from 2006 through 2009.
She is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute,
American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association,
Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum, Beverly Hills Bar Association,
Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, California Women
Lawyers, International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring
Confederation and the Legal Division of Jewish Federation
of Greater Los Angeles.
Community Activities
Ms. Levey is actively involved in the community.
She is on the Castle Heights Elementary School Board
of Directors (2007 – to present); she is the Co-Chair
of the Future Families of Castle Heights from 2005
to present and is a member of Business and Professions
Group of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.
Academic Background
Ms. Levey was admitted to the California State Bar
in 1994. She attended the University of Arizona
(B.A. 1991, with honors) and the University of
the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (J.D. 1994)
where she participated in the Moot Court Program
with Honors. Ms. Levey was a law clerk to the
Honorable Mitchel R. Goldberg, United States
Bankruptcy Court (December 1994 - September 1996)
and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable
Paul G. Rosenblatt, United States District Court
(Summer 1993).
Interests
Ms. Levey enjoys skiing, reading, hiking,
traveling and doing volunteering work.
